Erected by JAMES PENMAN & JANET SIMPSON in memory of their parents and of GEORGE and MARGARET PENMAN their children who died in the bud of youth. GEORGE PENMAN aged 28 years died 23 January 1853; "Consumption came commissioned from on high, And bore the lov'd from earth unto the sky."; JAMES PENMAN shipmaster died 21st October 1864 aged 66 years; JANET SIMPSON his wife died 1st July 1873 aged 74 years; JAMES, Writer, died 27 July 1900 aged 64 years; HELEN AIDIE wife of the said JAMES PENMAN, writer, died at Bridge of Allan 24th May 1904 and is interred here.
